Cover for Teachers

From time to time your child may be taught by a teacher other that their class teacher.  Every teacher has a cover teacher for 2.5hrs a week this enables them to plan and prepare lessons.  In our school this is mainly covered by Mrs Scott Baker, Mr Robson and Miss Keogh we also use supply teachers who are taken from a central bank.  These teachers also cover any staff illness.  Generally we use the same supply teachers to ensure that these people are known to the children and the school systems although this is not always possible we do our very best to minimise disruption.

Head Lice

Head lice is unfortunately a problem that can particularly affect children.  If you are needing to treat your child’s hair please remember that any lotions will only kill live lice and won’t affect eggs you will need to comb for 12 consecutive days to ensure the eggs don’t hatch resulting in more lice.
