Family Learning Evening

Thank you to all the parents and children who came along to our annual Learning Evening.

We were thrilled to see so many of you join us and take the opportunity to share your child’s learning and seeing their achievements from this school year.

Our thanks also to ‘The Inn’ who kindly hosted our BBQ again this year and managed to maintain calm in the busy food area.

We hope you enjoyed your evening with us.

We are looking for some child friendly construction materials to help Reception N to get building!

Any donations of;

Guttering

Plastic tubing

Hosepipe tap connector

We would also love some kitchen utensils – spatulas, ladles, and sieves etc. for their play area.

Thank you!

Year 2 are having a cake sale!

Next week Year 2 become budding chefs. They have dug out their aprons and have ingredients at the ready to bake many, many cupcakes.

This will give the children practical experience of weights and measures linking to maths learning.

Money raised will go towards their ‘Round the Island’ trip in the next few weeks.

The cakes will be sold on Friday 29th June in the Year 2 garden area during both morning breaktimes.

Children remember your pennies and we’ll see you there!

Jersey Sings 2018

Our School Choir will be performing at Jersey Sings at Fort Regent on Wednesday 27th June.

Tickets can be purchased at www.eventbrite.co.uk

We hope you enjoy your musical evening!

Anti-Bullying Ambassadors

We were extremely privileged to host the Anti-Bullying Ambassadors course recently for Year 5 children from primary schools across the Island.

The programme aims to empower students and staff through a holistic and peer-led approach by engaging them to change the attitudes, behaviors and culture of bullying by building skills and confidence to address different situations.

The children had a varied and interactive day and learned what bullying is and what type of behavior is and isn’t bullying. They will share this knowledge with their peers and teachers to raise awareness of bullying and promote kindness and support.

Well done to all who took part.

Sports News

Great cricket performances from our Year 5 boys, which led to a final challenge where they were unlucky and lost to St Saviours – who were the best team on the day.

Well Done – great effort boys!

Thank you to everyone who donated their old telephone directories in the ‘Books for Tablets’ campaign.

We managed to collect an amazing 452 directories, which means we receive 3 new tablets from JT.
