Parent Consultation Evenings

Thank you to all the parents who have already scheduled their appointments to meet with their child’s teacher.

Any parents who still need to book an appointment please contact the office, as the online booking facility is now closed.

Consultation dates are 30th January & 1st February.

 

Wednesday 31st January is Puzzle Day No 2!

It’s Reception & Years 1, 2 & 3’s turn to spend an hour getting involved with an assortment of puzzles, brainteasers and other mental maths activities.

Any parents who wish to pop by and have a go at some of the puzzles themselves, can do so 2.15 to 2.45pm in the Main Hall.

 

Book Blast at Jersey Library

Book Blast, is a weekly club for primary children age 7+ who want to have fun and discover new books and authors.

It is free to attend and you can stay for the whole session or just drop in to see what they are up to.

On Wednesday 17th January d’Auvergne ‘A’ travelled to Guernsey and took part in the County stage of the ESFA Danone U11 7-a-side schools cup – the boys did themselves proud, finishing 4th in the Channel Islands.

On Saturday 20th January d’Auvergne ‘A’ took part in the Rob Lob Charity 5-a-side competition at Fort Regent. The boys finished top of their group without conceding a goal and are now looking forward to the next stage of the competition.

Well done boys!

 

Parentscope

Drop in support for Parents/Carers

Parentscope is a free and friendly drop-in session for all parents/carers

We all struggle with parenting concerns at times; from behaviour issues, sleep, choosing schools and nursery, or illness and everything in between.

Our reception classes are really low on spare clothes for our youngest pupils.

If you have any spare underwear for boys and girls, socks, trousers or skirts then we would love to make use of them.

Please drop any donations to the school office.

Lending Library

Years 1 & 2

Mrs Bailey is in our quiet garden after school on Tuesdays & Thursdays till 3pm for all our little bookworms!

Feel free to pop by and say ‘hello’ and maybe borrow a book for some bedtime reading.

 

Children’s Plan Quality Conversations Event

Work is now underway to develop a Children’s Plan for Jersey. All parents are warmly invited to attend a special family friendly event on 14 March to consider and comment on the ideas and planning that has been developed so far.

Location – Hotel De France

Date – Wednesday 14th March

When – 3.30pm to 5pm

This will be a family-friendly event and is open to everyone. There is no need to book.
