At d’Auvergne, our aim is to provide a curriculum that allows our children to learn about the world around them and their place within it by creating lessons that support them in developing their understanding and skills in human and physical geography.
Furthermore, we want to promote, practise and refine the children’s field work skills by providing them with hands on experiences that explore a variety of factors that impact on the island they live in. Through their learning and field work, it is our aim that our children will become effective communicators and critical thinkers who can present their findings confidently to others.
Additionally, we aim to promote an understanding of and tolerance towards cultural diversity through well planned lessons in which they will learn about the various cultures that represent our school community and beyond.
